LNG has entered its sixth decade of global trade. Arguably, the last few years has seen more change than the previous fifty years, and the next five to ten years could well see an even greater pace of change.

This Focus feature from Gaffney, Cline & Associates considers why LNG is poised to take a larger share of the fuel and power generation mix, and the emerging trends that are supporting this growth story. With Thailand and several other South East Asian countries looking to LNG imports to fuel future economic growth, it is perhaps prudent to remind ourselves of the sometimes under-emphasized environmental benefits of LNG.
